Cinnamon Christmas Tree Ornaments
Making homemade Cinnamon Ornaments is an easy and fun holiday activity for kids. Use this two ingredient recipe to make pretty homemade ornaments for your tree, or give them to friends and family as gifts. Homemade is the best gift of all!
Ingredients
- 1 cup cinnamon plus extra for rolling out
- 2/3 cup applesauce
- 2 tbsp tacky glue
Supplies
- Paint
- Straw
- Glitter
- String or ribbon
Instructions
- Mix cinnamon, applesauce and tacky glue together in a bowl and knead for 3 minutes to form a ball. If too dry, add more applesauce, and if too wet, add more cinnamon.
- Knead ball on cinnamon sprinkle surface.
- Roll out and use cookie cutters to cut shapes. Use a straw to poke a hole on the top for the ribbon or string to hang ornament.
- Air dry for 24-48 hours, turning over several times
- After they are dry, decorate with paint and glitter to make homemade ornaments for the tree! Add a ribbon or string after they are dry.
